The emblem of Government College of Engineering, Nagpur (GCoEN) features a slanted globe inscribed with the motifs of an electrical transmission tower, spreading of waves, a pair of gear wheels, a tower, a bridge and a laptop and crested by a mortarboard hat and supported by the name of the college. Below these, on a banner, the motto of the college ‘Where the Legends Mould’ is inscribed. The globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.
