The circular seal of The Vidya Prasarak Mandal's College of Engineering (VPM Thane) features a traditional lamp supported by an open book, a flower and an ink pot with quill surmounted by the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘प्रज्वालितो ज्ञानमय: प्रदीप:’ (Verse 2, Gita Dhyanam, Adi Shankaracharya) meaning ‘The Lamp of Knowledge was Lit,. These motifs are supported by a blue banner inscribed with the name of the managing Trust in Devanagari. This assemblage is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college and its year of establishment. The lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book and inkpot with quill refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the flower refers to devotion, purity and dedication in the search of knowledge and education.
