The emblem of Loknete Shamrao Peje Government College of Engineering (LSPGCOER) features a gearwheel housing the traditional Maharashtrian lamp ‘Laman Diva’ in a circle. The gearwheel is surmounted by the name of the managing Directorate of the college in Marathi ‘महाराष्ट्र शासन तंत्रशिक्षण संचालनालय’ and ensconced by a circle. At the bottom, on a banner, the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘राष्ट्रोद्धाराय तंत्र शिक्षणम्’ meaning ‘Technical Education for the Upliftment of the Nation’ is inscribed. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; and the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.

14 CORPS The 14 Corps of the Indian Army is a part of the Army’s Udhampur-based Northern Command. It was raised after the Kargil War in 1999, to control troops in Ladakh. It currently consists of 3rd Infantry Division. The division was created in October 1962 in Ladakh. It fought in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. Until 1990, it was headquartered at Kohima under III Corps. It is headquartered at Kumbathang, near Kargil. The sleeve patch of this Corps is red horizontal striped patch intersected with a white stripe in the background with two crossed torches (Vajra) with trident at their ends and wand in the foreground.
