The blue colour emblem of Xavier Institute of Engineering (XIE) features a monogram of its initials ‘xie’ with the letter ‘i’ depicted as a human and ensconced by an orbiting ring. The human refers to the beneficiaries and stakeholders and the human-centric approach of the Institute. The orbiting ring is a powerful and multifaceted symbol representing themes of eternity, divinity, cyclicality, and cosmic order; and the colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.
