Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa) is an autonomous public university located in Goa. IIT Goa was allotted by the Government of India in 2014 and it started functioning from July, 2016. The motto of this institute is ‘विद्या विनयेन दीप्यते‘ in Sanskrit meaning ‘Knowledge Shines with Humility’. The emblem of this institute was designed by Pranoy Das of IISER, Kolkata based on the idea of Prof. B. K. Mishra of IIT, Goa. It has a decagon created using a continuous line with ten strokes of flying lines. It has a decagon placed inside diametrically. This has a human, who supports an open book from which a flame of torch arises. This assemblage has an outer circular border wherein, its name is written in Hindi and English. At the bottom of this emblem on a white border where its tagline is written.

THE QUAIDE MILLETH COLLEGE FOR MEN (QMCMEN) The emblem of The Quaide Milleth College for Men (QMCMen) features a green gearwheel inscribed with the quote from Quran in Arabic ‘مَن يُؤْتَ الْحِكْمَةَ فَقَدْ أُوتِيَ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا ’ (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:269) meaning ‘And whoever is granted wisdom has certainly been granted much Good’ and its motto ‘The Quest’. The colour green and the dome refers to the religious affiliation of the college and divine blessings and guidance; the book refers to education, learning and wisdom; the ink pot and pen refers to the heritage of learning, reading and writing; and the balance scale refers to justice, equality and fairness.

HINDUSTAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS), located at Chennai, Tamil Nadu commenced in 1985. The circular emblem in orange and green has a gear wheel housing a pair of laurels and circle containing a map of India and its year of establishment ensconced by its motto ‘Knowledge is Power’ on a green border. The gear wheel signifies interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure; the laurels signify victory and achievement, they are a reminder of the hard work and dedication that it takes to achieve success; map of India denotes its service to the entire India and to the world; the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and the colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

GLOBAL CENTRE FOR NUCLEAR ENERGY PARTNERSHIP Global Centre for Nuclear Energy Partnership (GCNEP) comes under the purview of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) of Government of India. The vignetted blue to cyan colour circular logo has a partial structure of atom on top and its acronyms in Devanagari and English. The motto of the institution is written along the circumference in Devanagari ‘राष्ट्र की सेवा में परमाणु’ meaning ‘Atoms in the Service of the Nation, above and below respectively in grey. The taglines are supported on either side by Indian National Tricolour stripes.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

(Jijau Bank) has a profile image of Rajmata Jijau on a green circle ensconced by a partial gear wheel which is inscribed with its name and place in Devanagari. This assemblage is supported by a red banner bearing its motto ‘राष्ट्रमेव जयते’ meaning ‘Let the Nation Triumph’. The gear wheel refers to industry and industrial financing.

AMITY UNIVERSITY RAJASTHAN The emblem of Amity University Rajasthan (AU R) has a shield divided into yellow and dark blue sections. The dark blue portion is a left to right upward sweeping stroke, bearing the name of the university. The yellow portion has a torch, the flame of which is written using its acronym. The shield has blue borderlines. The name and place of the university is written on the right side of the pictorial in classic serif font. The dark blue with contemporary cues of technology, performance and advancement strikes a synergy with the golden yellow radiance of tradition, culture and values. THANGAVEL WOMEN’S ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE (TWASC) The emblem of Thangavel Women’s Arts And Science College (TWASC) features a ‘Vel’, the sacred spear of Lord Muruga supported by a nib of a pen also depicted as a lotus supported by an open book. The motto of the college ‘கற்றனைத்தூறும் அறிவு’ (396, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘Knowledge Grows As Much As One Learns’ is inscribed below the pictorial. The name and details of the college are written at the bottom. The ‘Vel’ is the divine spear of Lord Muruga or Shanmuga. According to Shaiva tradition, the goddess Parvati presented the Vel to her son Murugan, as an embodiment of her shakti, in order to vanquish the asura Surapadman. The lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the nib of a pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; and the book refers to education, learning and wisdom.
