The circular seal of Toc H Institute of Science and Technology (TIST) features a nib of a pen with strokes of wave in the background, its initials ‘TIST’, a traditional lamp placed on a globe ensconced by a circular border inscribed with its name and a pair of laurels. The nib refers to symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the waves denote change, impermanence, power, and the cyclical nature of existence; the globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

GLOBAL CENTRE FOR NUCLEAR ENERGY PARTNERSHIP Global Centre for Nuclear Energy Partnership (GCNEP) comes under the purview of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) of Government of India. The vignetted blue to cyan colour circular logo has a partial structure of atom on top and its acronyms in Devanagari and English. RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

HINDUSTAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS), located at Chennai, Tamil Nadu commenced in 1985. The circular emblem in orange and green has a gear wheel housing a pair of laurels and circle containing a map of India and its year of establishment ensconced by its motto ‘Knowledge is Power’ on a green border. The gear wheel signifies interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure; the laurels signify victory and achievement, they are a reminder of the hard work and dedication that it takes to achieve success; map of India denotes its service to the entire India and to the world; the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and the colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

THE QUAIDE MILLETH COLLEGE FOR MEN (QMCMEN) The emblem of The Quaide Milleth College for Men (QMCMen) features a green gearwheel inscribed with the quote from Quran in Arabic ‘مَن يُؤْتَ الْحِكْمَةَ فَقَدْ أُوتِيَ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا ’ (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:269) meaning ‘And whoever is granted wisdom has certainly been granted much Good’ and its motto ‘The Quest’. In the counter of the wheel is a dome of a mosque, an open book, an ink pot with a quill pen and a two pan beam balance. THANGAVEL WOMEN’S ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE (TWASC) The emblem of Thangavel Women’s Arts And Science College (TWASC) features a ‘Vel’, the sacred spear of Lord Muruga supported by a nib of a pen also depicted as a lotus supported by an open book. The motto of the college ‘கற்றனைத்தூறும் அறிவு’ (396, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘Knowledge Grows As Much As One Learns’ is inscribed below the pictorial. The name and details of the college are written at the bottom. The ‘Vel’ is the divine spear of Lord Muruga or Shanmuga. According to Shaiva tradition, the goddess Parvati presented the Vel to her son Murugan, as an embodiment of her shakti, in order to vanquish the asura Surapadman. The lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the nib of a pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; and the book refers to education, learning and wisdom.

PARIMAL EDUCATION TRUST (THAAI EDUCATION) The emblem of Parimal Education Trust (Thaai Education) features a motif of a mother and child ensconced by a white circular border with blue and orange outlines inscribed with the name of Trust and its motto ‘Dignity Knowledge Wisdom’. ‘Thaai’ means ‘தாய்’ in Tamil and mother and child motif depicts the love and affection of a mother to her child.
