The emblem of Dr. T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology (Dr.TTIT) features a shield holding a circle housing the motifs of a pair of gear wheels, a production plant, a chip, a laptop computer and a power symbol representing the subjects of engineering are placed around its motto ‘Knowledge is Power’. The border of the circle is inscribed with the name and place of the managing. The shield is supported by a pair of crests of paddy and surmounted by the name of the college on a yellow banner. The paddy crests denote prosperity, abundance, and the bounty of nature; and the shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery.

INDIAN GRAPE PROCESSING BOARD Keeping the above in mind and to co-ordinate the efforts for promotion and development of the wine industry in India in close association with industry, producers and other stakeholders, the Union Cabinet in its meeting held on January 2, 2009 gave its approval for the establishment of the Indian Grape Processing Board (IGPB) under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Board has its headquarters in Pune, Maharashtra that is close to the principal grape growing and processing areas in the country.
