A pair of green laurels support the seal on the sides. The star symbolises harmony among all things in life, with its points providing insight into how we can strive towards achieving this goal; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

DOORDARSHAN 1959 Doordarshan (DD) is an autonomous public service broadcaster founded by the Government of India, which is one of two divisions of Prasar Bharati.
