The blue colour emblem of Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT) features a portion of a gearwheel holding the motif of Goddess Saraswati inscribed with its name of the managing trust and a banner inscribed with its name. A bridge, a computer and a pair of power symbols denoting engineering education and a pair of laurels support the image. The year of inception of the college is written at the bottom. The gearwheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; Goddess Saraswati represents learning, knowledge, education and wisdom; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
