The emblem of St. Thomas Institute for Science and Technology (STISTVM) features a brown and black shield housing the motifs of a torch with flame and a shape  of a molecule and a chip referring to science and technology. A banner inscribed with its motto ‘Tamaso Ma Jyotir Gamaya’ is placed on the shield, at the bottom. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; and the torch with flame symbolises is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power.
