The emblem of Gandhi Institute For Education & Technology (GIET) features a red gear wheel inscribed with the name and place of the college. The counter of the wheel houses the motifs of a protractor, a spanner, a computer, a pair of transmission poles with lines, a satellite dish antenna and a theodolite. Below the gearwheel, on a banner, the motto of the college ‘Knowledge Innovation Excellence’. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; and the other motifs refer to the different subject disciplines of engineering.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes.
