The emblem of Sri Jayadev College of Education and Technology (SJCET) (Sri Jayadeva College) features a peacock with its wings spread with glowing sun as a backdrop and ensconced by a gearwheel inscribed with the name of the college in Odia. Behind the gearwheel, a flute symbolising Sri Jayadeva’s devotion to Lord Krishna is placed and a gearwheel is crested by the Ocellation or Eyespot of the peacock’s feather referring to Lord Krishna. On a banner placed below the gearwheel the name of the college is written. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the peacock refers to beauty, royalty, divinity, and renewal; and the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.
