The emblem of Gandhi Institute For Technological Advancement (GITA) features a bald eagle with its wings spread with Indian Tricolour festoons supporting an anchor with the initials of the college ‘GITA’. The eagle is supported by a banner inscribed with the name of the place of the college. These are ensconced by a circular outline of a chain. At the bottom, the motto of the college ‘Tested-Selected-Initiated’ is inscribed. The bald eagle or Garuda is a divine figure symbolising protection, loyalty, and the triumph of spiritual power over evil; the anchor and the chain symbolise stability, hope, strength, and secure, enduring bonds.

RAJENDRA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES (RIMS) The emblem of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) is directly adapted from the State Emblem of the State of Jharkhand. The central motifs of the winged Staff of Caduceus entwined by a pair of serpents crested with a flaming torch, supported by an open book and a pair of laurels replace the Lion Capital; and the name, place and motto of the college replace the name of the State. The motto of the college in Sanskrit is ‘विद्यया विन्दते अमृतम्’ (Mantra 2.4, Kenopanishad), which translates to ‘Immortality Through Knowledge’. The Staff of Caduceus symbolises medicine and medical profession; the book symbolises the accumulation and dissemination of medical knowledge and the academic foundation of the institution; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the laurels are symbols, which represent victory, honour and academic excellence.

These are circumscribed by the name and place of the college and its year of establishment. These are ensconced by circular outlines in red and orange. The lotus and the humans represent purity, resilience and growth. The petals transform into abstract, uplifting figures of women with raised arms, celebrating growth, independence and shared empowerment.
