The hexagram is supported by a pair of laurels and surmounted by a rectangular outline. The name of the college and its year of inception are written around the motifs. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery. The hexagram The hexagram -a six-pointed star formed by two interlocking triangles - is an ancient archetypal symbol representing the union of opposites. The upward triangle signifies fire and masculine energy; the downward triangle signifies water and feminine energy. The lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering.
