LAKSHADWEEP POLICE

Policing in the islands began with effect from November 22, 1958 by the establishment of the first police stations at Minicoy.  The staff posted therein consisted of a strength of one Sub-inspector, two Head-Constables and five Constables who were deputationists and ex-servicemen.  The second police station came at Androth in the same year.  Police stations in other inhabited islands were established in 1960s .  The outpost at  Bitra  under Chetlath Police Station and the aid post at Bangaram under Agatti Police Station respectively started functioning during the year 199. Criminal Penal Code - CrPC and Indian Penal Code - IPC were extended to this Union Territory from November 01, 1967.  From 1956 to November 01,1967,  the local Amins were functioning at Third  Class Magistrates and discharging Police duties in their respective islands.  Other Acts were extended subsequently. The coat of arms of the Lakshadweep Islands shows the initials of the service on a red and blue background, surrounded by coconut trees on each side. The arms are crested with the Yellow rising son. Below is the motto of the force in Devnagari ‘Satyam Seva Samrakshan’ (Truth Service Protection) on a black ribbon.

DAKSHIN BIHAR GRAMIN BANK Dakshin Bihar Gramin Bank (DBGB) is a Regional Rural Bank (RRB) founded on January 1, 2019. It was formed by amalgamating two RRBs of Bihar viz. Madhya Bihar Gramin Bank (MBGB) and Bihar Gramin Bank (BGB). DBGB is sponsored by Punjab National Bank (PNB). The emblem of the bank has a motif of three leaf-like designs in yellow inscribed with ‘D’, ‘BG’ and ‘B’ - the bank's acronym on the leaves. This is supported by a pair of crowns of wheat in yellow colour with their stem crossed. All these are supported by a green oval background. Its motto is written in Devanagari ‘ग्रामीण विकास हमारी प्रतिबद्धता’ on top and in English ‘Committed to Rural Development’ at the bottom of the red border surrounding the emblem separated by yellow dots. Green denotes hope, freedom, agriculture, nature and fertility and yellow denotes happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity. INDIRA GANDHI RASHTRIYA MANAV SANGRAHALAYA A nucleus of a 'National Museum of Man' began functioning from New Delhi from March 21, 1977 as part of the Anthropological Survey of India. In 1978 it was separated from the Anthropological Survey of India and declared as an Independent Subordinate Office of the Department of Culture, Government of India. In March 1985 the Museum was renamed as Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, which was later through a Cabinet decision named after Indira Gandhi as Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS). For international perspective the term ‘National Museum of Mankind’ was adopted. Its logo has a slender dancing girl stylistically depicted in tribal art form in red on a background of yellow.

NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL INNOVATION PROJECT The National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP) is to facilitate accelerated and sustainable transformation of Indian agriculture in support of poverty alleviation and income generation by collaborative development and application of agricultural innovation by the public research organizations in partnership with the farmer’s groups, the private sector, the civil society organizations and other stakeholders. BHAGWANT UNIVERSITY Bhagwant University Ajmer is established by Bhagwant Education Foundation which has also established Bhagwant Global University Kotdwar. This is the only university in Rajasthan which offers engineering courses in aeronautics, petroleum, nanotechnology and agriculturre. NATIONAL POLICY ON ELECTRONICS The National Policy on Electronics (NPE) was framed by the Government of India to boost its electronics systems design and manufacturing industry and improve its global market share., The Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Government of India, has adopted the logo of ‘Electronics India’ with the tagline ‘Billion Needs Million Chips’, to promote the Electronics Sector under NPE. INDIAN INSTITUTE OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS The in-principle approval was granted by Planning Commission in year 2006 for development of a world class institution on corporate affairs. The proposal for setting up of Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) was approved in 2007 February. IICA was conceived as a revenue generating model and in the initial stage at least 33 percent of the revenue expenditure should be income from their activities. Its corporate tagline is ‘Partners Governance Transfromation’. The monogram has a bright blue rectangular round cornered box with four yellow coloured floating strokes symbolising the range of issues, which the institution may address; the acronym partially in white in the box and partially out of it.

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF CROP PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY The Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology (Formerly Paddy Processing Research Centre) is a pioneer Research and Development Institute under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India. The Institute has its origin in 1967 when it was started as research and development laboratory in the Modern Rice Mill complex of Thanjavur Co-operative Marketing Federation (TCMF) at Tiruvarur, Tamilnadu. The Institute was later upgraded as a national laboratory with the name Paddy Processing Research Centre - PPRC in 1972.
