GADA

In Hinduism Gada or the mace is a symbolising a weapon and strength. It is held by Lord Vishnu, Lord Balarama, Lord Hanuman, Bhima, Karna, Shalya, Duryodhana, Jarasandha and others. It was used in battles and wars.  The gada of Lord Vishnu is called Kaumodaki. It signifies strength and power. It refers to valour, devotion, power to protect righteousness or dharma, great strength, destructor of obstacles, eliminator of evils and remover of fear from the minds of the devotees.
