The emblem of Chennai Arts and Science College (CASC) features a yellow shield with green outlines inscribed with the monogram of the initials of ‘CASC’ depicting a diagram of an atom. The shield is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college. The seal is supported on the sides by a pair of laurels and an open book at the bottom. Below these, the motto of the college ‘Passion Perseverance Excellence’ is inscribed on a golden banner. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the atomic structure refer to science; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the book refers to education, learning and wisdom; and the colour yellow signifies happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.

The central motifs of the winged Staff of Caduceus entwined by a pair of serpents crested with a flaming torch, supported by an open book and a pair of laurels replace the Lion Capital; and the name, place and motto of the college replace the name of the State. The motto of the college in Sanskrit is ‘विद्यया विन्दते अमृतम्’ (Mantra 2.4, Kenopanishad), which translates to ‘Immortality Through Knowledge’. The Staff of Caduceus symbolises medicine and medical profession; the book symbolises the accumulation and dissemination of medical knowledge and the academic foundation of the institution; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the laurels are symbols, which represent victory, honour and academic excellence.
