The emblem of Government Degree College, Sarh Bagga (GDC Sarh Bagga) features the Dharma Chakra, a flaming torch, a range of mountain peaks with orange rising sun and a flowing river and supporting laurels. The motifs are ensconced by a pair of green laurels. These motifs are surmounted by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college. Below these elements, on white banner with green outlines, the motto of the college ‘Work is Worship’ is written. The name of the place and its year of establishment are written at the bottom. The rising sun and mountains signifies the dawn of wisdom, hope and the enlightenment that education brings to the regional community and also reflects the hilly, mountainous terrain of the Mahore region.The book serves as a universal symbol of formal education, academic learning, accessibility to knowledge, and intellectual growth; and the flaming torch represents the light of truth guiding students away from ignorance and it symbolises leadership, passion and the eternal quest for knowledge. The Dharma Chakra symbolises continuous progress, righteousness and the forward movement of life and society through education; the laurels represent victory, honour, peace and academic excellence achieved through dedication.
