The motifs are supported by a pair of lighted green candles and a blue banner inscribed with the name of the college in Urdu ‘گورنمنٹ ڈگری کالج گول’. A pair of red laurels support the seal. The book symbolises the pursuit of knowledge, learning, and academic excellence; the rising sun with rays spreading outward represents the enlightenment and clarity that education brings to the mind, actively dispelling the darkness of ignorance; the pencil symbolises creativity, expression and the practical application of learning; the lit green candles represent guidance, wisdom and a beacon of hope meant to illuminate the paths of the students; and the red laurels represent victory, honour and academic achievement.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’.
