MALANKARA ORTHODOX SYRIAN CHURCH
The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church was founded by St. Thomas, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ, who came to India in A.D. 52. Atleast from the fourth century the Indian Church entered into a close relationship with the Persian or East Syrian Church. From the Persians, the Indians inherited East Syrian language and liturgies and came to be known as Syrian Christians. In the sixteenth century Roman Catholic tried to unite the Syrian Christians to the Roman Catholic Church and this led to a split in the community. Those who accepted Catholicism are the present Syro-Malabar Catholics. Later Western Protestant missionaries came to Kerala and worked among Syrian Christians; That also created certain splits in the community. In the seventeenth century the Church came to a relationship with the Antiochene Church which again caused splits. As a result of this relationship the Church received West Syrian liturgies and practices. At present the Church is using the West Syrian liturgy. The faith of the Church is that which was established by the three Ecumenical Councils of Nicea (A.D. 325), Constantinople (A.D. 381) and Ephesus (A.D. 431). At present the Church has over 2 million faithful with 24 dioceses all over the world.

It was founded by K. P. Kesava Menon, a volunteer in the Indian freedom struggle against the British. The word ‘Mathrubhumi’ translates to 'Mother Land'. NETAJI SUBHAS UNIVERSITY The red colour insignia of the Netaji Subhas University (NSU) has a shield holding a traditional lamp above which the acronym and place of the university are placed. BENGALURU NORTH UNIVERSITY The Government of Karnataka has notified the establishment of Bengaluru North University by trifurcating the erstwhile Bangalore University through its Gazette Notification on August 13, 2015 and was inaugurated on September 21, 2017. This is a State University located in Kolar in Karnataka. The emblem of the university depicts the importance of the jurisdictional area through its geographical features, scientific development and the rhythm of people’s lives. The circular emblem has three concentric circles, which represent the conscious, subconscious and dreams. RAJA SHANKAR SHAH UNIVERSITY, CHHINDWARA Raja Shankar Shah University, Chhindwara University (RSUC) has been established by the GOvernment of Madhya Pradesh dated June 17, 2019. The green colour octagonal emblem of the university is a pictorial of a flower created using the motifs of three open books, seven humans and reading of books standing on a pedestal. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written.
