COMPETITION APPELLATE TRIBUNAL
The Competition Appellate Tribunal (CAT) is a statutory organization established under the provisions of the Competition Act, 2002 to hear and dispose of appeals against any direction issued or decision made or order passed by the Competition Commission of India under sub-sections (2) and (6) of section 26, section 27, section 28, section 31, section 32, section 33, section 38, section 39, section 43, section 43A, section 44, section 45 or section 46 of the Competition Act, 2002. The Central Government has set up the Appellate Tribunal on May 15, 2009 having its headquarter at New Delhi. The logo for CAT has a hand which is green in its outer and red in its inner surface and is placed in a black circle with white border. In a black border around this in white is its name in English and Devanagari.
