FORWARD MARKETS COMMISSION
Forward Markets Commission (FMC) is a regulatory authority for commodity futures market in India. It is a statutory body set up under Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act 1952. The Commission functions under the administrative control of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India. On September 28, 2015 the FMC was merged with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to make the regulation of commodity futures market strong. Its logo in red colour has f and c placed inside the M.
