NATIONAL SCHOOL OF DRAMA
The National School of Drama (NSD) is one of the foremost theatre training institutions in the world and the only one of its kind in India. It was set up by the Sangeet Natak Akademi as one of its constituent units in 1959. In 1975, it became an independent entity and was registered as an autonomous organization under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, fully financed by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Its black and white symbol is the dramatic mask with half of the face depicted in positive and the other half in negative.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes. The counter of the ‘U’ is filled blue and a stroke of blue and green flows across diagonally from left to right top. This is further cut out by another ‘U’ at the top right corner. The colour blue represents serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour green denotes life, production, fertility, agriculture, environment and nature. The logo is modern, trendy and attractive.

The weighing scales with the twin balance pans symbolise equity, fairness, objectivity and truth; the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; the figures holding hands directly atop the scale beam highlights unity, collaboration, teamwork and community integration.
