Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur (IIITN) is one of the 20 Indian Institutes of Information Technology established under the Public-Private Partnership Scheme by the Ministry of Education Government of India in 2016-17. Its orange and violet logo is a monogram of its acronym of its name uses extra bold sans serif typeface. The letter ‘T’, which also foms the vertical stroke of 'N' is converted into an upward looking arrow of red colour and is topped by the symbol for WiFi.

The motto in Sanskrit ‘विश्वे ज्ञानज्योतिः प्रसारयेत’ means ‘Let the Light of Knowledge Spread Throughout the World’.
