Indian Institute of Information Technology Sri City, Chittoor known as IIIT Sri City (IIITS) was established in 2013 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India as an Institute of National importance by an Act of Parliament. IIITS is one among the twenty Institutes across India, focusing on Information Technology education, research and development. Its circular logo has a seven petalled lotus in shades of pink and above it a rising sun in shades of yellow and orange, placed within a circle. The name of the institution is written along the periphery. On a banner placed at the bottom ‘SRI CITY’ is written. The banner is supported by Sudarshana Chakra on the left and Panchajanya on the right side. Chakra (discus) represents victory over evil and the Panchajanya (conch) represents beginning and spreading of goodness.
