Malabar Group was founded in 1993 by a team of enterprising entrepreneurs, led by Mr. M P Ahammed when he explored beyond his immediate circle in the agri-corp industry to establish a jewellery trading company in a historical city called Kozhikode. Malabar Gold and Diamonds is the flagship company of Malabar Group, a leading diversified Indian business conglomerate was established in 1993 in the Indian state of Kerala. Its purple colour emblem is a circle with ‘M’ placed in the middle. The ‘M’ is slim, sleek and it is cut like a jewel, with an ornament at the nose of the letter.

The cyan, green and red emblem of the university has a plaque with rising sun above flowing waters supported by two palm trees and crested its motto in Arabic ‘طلب العلم فريضة’ meaning ‘Seeking Knowledge is an Obligation’. It is circumscribed by its name in Arabic and Devanagari in green and cyan. At the bottom, on a banner its year of establishment is written.
