CLEAN DRINKING WATER

The Project Clean Drinking Water (TPCDW) aims that consumers have the right to expect that the packaged drinking water or beverage they purchase is safe and of high quality. Consumers shall be able to verify the physical, chemical and microbiological safety of packaged drinking water or mineral water through the system developed for the purpose. The FSSAI's programme lets consumers to verify that the bottled drinking water or beverage they buy is safe and of excellent quality. The logo is designed so that the encircling of the fingers represents complete water purity, the translucent blue colour inside represents cleanliness (free of toxins and contaminants) and the serenity of each drop represents that each drop of water is safe for consumption. The logo has a okay (ok) symbol in green colour, in which a drop of water with a halo in blue colour is placed, meaning certified for purity. Below this the tagline ‘Safe Water for Healthy Living' is written using a brush script in blue colour. (The okay gesture or ring gesture is performed by connecting the thumb and index into a circle and holding the other fingers straight or relaxed away from the palm. Commonly used by divers, it means ‘I am okay' or ‘Are you okay?" when underwater. In most English-speaking countries it denotes approvaland that all is well or ‘okay’ or ‘ok’).
