INDIA DESIGN MARK

India Design Mark symbolizes product excellence in form, function, quality, safety, sustainability and innovation and communicates that the product is usable, durable, aesthetically appealing and socially responsible. India Design Mark is a design standard and not a contest. It is granted to an applicant after following a diligent evaluation process aimed at identifying good design that exceeds the prescribed criteria of evaluation. To the consumer, India Design Mark is a yardstick to ensure good value for money. For designers, India Design Mark is a reward for good work. The mark is granted by India Design Council - an autonomous body, established by the Government of India. Its emblem is an abstract symbol with a red dot on top of a pair of black crow quill pen strokes, below which ‘Good Design’ is written.
