FOOD SAFETY KNOWLEDGE ASSIMILATION NETWORK

FSSAI has established the Food Safety Knowledge Assimilation Network (FSKAN). This is a system of network of organisations with the aim to facilitate a scientific cooperation framework by the co-ordination of activities, the exchange of information, the development and implementation of joint projects within the Food Authority’s responsibility. Its logo has a network of five symbols namely, test tube for testing; atomic structure for comprehensive study; plant for edible items; a microscope for examination and a lens for scrutiny and analysing. Its acronym and name are placed inside the network.

ECGC LIMITED ECGC Limited (Formerly Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd.), wholly owned by Government of India, was set up in 1957 with the objective of promoting exports from the country by providing Credit Risk Insurance and related services for exports. It functions under the administrative control of Ministry of Commerce and Industry and is managed by a Board of Directors comprising representatives of the Government, Reserve Bank of India, banking and insurance and exporting community. Inside the gear lies a dynamic combination of industrial equipment and technical structures, signifying active research, production, and technological innovation. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
