INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH MOHALI

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali (IISER Mohali) started its academic programme in 2007, with a batch of twenty-five students in the five year BS - MS Dual Degree Program. IISER is an autonomous institution and it awards its own degrees. The insignia of IISER has a glowing traditional lamp ensconced by a blue circular border on which its name is written. Below the lamp its motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानानवेषणम्’ is inscribed. Its English version ‘In Pursuit of Knowledge’ is written on a banner at the bottom. The lamp symbolises light, vision, wisdom and enlightenment.

GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, REASI (GDC REASI) The emblem of Government Degree College, Reasi (GDC Reasi) features a circle housing the motifs of a landscape of a mountain range with river flowing, a lightning bolt or power symbol and the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita), which translates to ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ is written. The name and place of the college is written around the circle. A purple laurel supports the seal. These are ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The mountain range and landscape reflects the mighty Shivalik hills and Himalayas that surround the Udhampur region in Jammu and Kashmir. JSS SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY The emblem of JSS Science and Technology University (JSSSTU) features the picture of Sri Adi Jagadguru Bagavatpada, which is ensconced in the letter ‘ॐ’ drawn as a border. In the border at the top 'ಕಾಯಕವೇ ಕೈಲಾಸ' in Kannada  meaning ‘Work is Worship’ and at the bottom ‘JSS Maha Vidyapeetha’ are written. These are further circumscribed by three pairs of two overlapping arrows in orange and blue forming a revolving pattern also forming a hexagon. The emblem denotes constant evolution and growth. The colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
