INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AGARTALA

Indian Institute of Information Technology Agartala (IIIT-Agartala), is one of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (PPP) in the country, set up with the objective of making available facilities for higher education, research and training in various fields of Information Technology. The three ‘i’s are arranged as the radius of a circle, with an orange dot forming their top. This arrangement also forms the letter ‘T’, which is supported by ‘o’ on left and ‘A’ on right. ‘A’ stands for Agartala and ‘O’ stands for binary along with one of the radius. All these are ensconced in a circle on the border of which its name and place are written.

COTTON UNIVERSITY Cotton University (CU) was formerly known as Cotton College, the institute was established in 1901 by Sir Henry Stedman Cotton, the Chief Commissioner of the erstwhile British province of Assam. It became a constituent college of Gauhati University in 1948. In 2011 the Cotton College State University was established vide an Act of the Government of Assam, with the college as a constituent. Cotton University came into being in 2017 through The Cotton University Act, 2017 that enabled the unification of Cotton College State University and Cotton College. PALLAVA DYNASTY - BULL The Pallava Dynasty existed from 275 CE to 897 CE, ruling a significant portion of the Deccan, also known as Thondaimandalam. The dynasty rose to prominence after the downfall of the Satavahana dynasty, with whom they had formerly served as feudatories. The Pallavas became a major South Indian power during the reign of Mahendravarman I(600–630 CE) and Narasimhavarman I (630–668 CE), dominating for about 600 years, until the end of the 9th century. Kancheepuram served as the capital of the Pallava kingdom.  They developed the Pallava script, from which, Grantha ultimately took form. This script eventually gave rise to several other Southeast Asian scripts such Khmer. The Chinese traveller Xuanzang visited Kanchipuram during Pallava rule and extolled their benign rule.
