FABINDIA LIMITED

Founded in 1960 by John Bissell to market the diverse craft traditions of India, Fabindia Limited started out as a company exporting home furnishings. The first Fabindia retail store was opened in Greater Kailash, New Delhi fifteen years later. By the early eighties, Fabindia was already known for garments made from hand woven and hand printed fabrics. The non-textile range was added in 2000, while organic foods, which formed a natural extension of Fabindia’s commitment to traditional techniques and skills, was added in 2004, with personal care products following in 2006. Handcrafted jewellery was introduced in 2008. Fabindia is India's largest private platform for products that are made from traditional techniques, skills and hand-based processes. Its logo is made by bold brush strokes in earthy red colour in lowercase, with counters of 'a's, b and 'd' are filled and two different treatment of 'i's. Its tagline 'Celebrate India' is written below.

ECGC LIMITED ECGC Limited (Formerly Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd.), wholly owned by Government of India, was set up in 1957 with the objective of promoting exports from the country by providing Credit Risk Insurance and related services for exports. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
