These motifs are ensconced by a white border with blue outlines on which its name, place and motto are inscribed. The motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानः कर्मसु कौशलं’ (Shloka 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Knowledge is Skill in Action’. The banyan tree symbolises strength, individuality, expression, calmness, growth, the interconnectedness of everything and perpetuity; the sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the open book represents knowledge, education, learning and wisdom and the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
