The circular emblem of Dr. SPM International Institute of Information Technology (IIITNR) has an abstract depiction of Buddha symbolising enlightenment for intellectual and ethical perfection gained from knowledge, discipline, dedication and concentration. The circle Buddha motif in orange and green denotes ‘C’ and ‘G’ signifying the State of Chhattisgarh, Below which the acronym and place of the university is inscribed. The white circular border with blue outlines carries the name in English and motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानं लब्ध्वा परां शान्ति’ (Shloka 39, Chapter 4, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Having Attained Knowledge, He Goes Soon to Supreme Peace’.

ECGC LIMITED ECGC Limited (Formerly Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd.), wholly owned by Government of India, was set up in 1957 with the objective of promoting exports from the country by providing Credit Risk Insurance and related services for exports. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
