The circle Buddha motif in orange and green denotes ‘C’ and ‘G’ signifying the State of Chhattisgarh, Below which the acronym and place of the university is inscribed. The white circular border with blue outlines carries the name in English and motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानं लब्ध्वा परां शान्ति’ (Shloka 39, Chapter 4, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Having Attained Knowledge, He Goes Soon to Supreme Peace’.

MANKOLAM Mankolam, the abstract image of mango and the paisley design is shaped like a mango and associated with Lord Ganesha. Mangos are the sweetest of fruits, symbolizing auspiciousness and the happy fulfillment of legitimate worldly desires. In Sanskrit the design is known as mankolam and has long been used in India. EMBLEM OF HARYANA The state of Haryana was split from Punjab state on November 1,1966. The main part of the actual state was ceded to the East India Company in 1803. In 1832 it was added to the Northwest Provinces and in 1858 to Punjab to which it belonged until 1966. In the centre of the state the Principality of Jind was located.
