The emblem of Nirwan University (NU) has a blue shield with dark violet border. The shield is divided into four quarters with two opposite quarters holding the letters of its acronym ‘N’ and ‘U’ and in the third quarter a quarter of sun and the fourth quarter has an atomic diagram. The shield is created by a tiara and supported by a pair of laurels on sides and a banner at the bottom. The banner carries its year of inception and below these motifs its name is written. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the tiara symbolises power and status; the atomic diagram denotes science and scientific studies and enquiry; the sun symbolises life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the dark blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the dark violet symbolises royalty, spirituality and nature.
