The emblem of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU) has a pair of hands holding a lotus with 8 petals surmounted with its motto in Sanskrit ‘चरैवेति चरैवेति’ (Section 3, Chapter 3, Aitareya Brahmana) meaning ‘Keep Going’ and supported by its name and place at the bottom in Devanagari. The lotus symbolises purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty and the hands which support the lotus in fact upholds its symbolism.
