The emblem of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU) has a pair of hands holding a lotus with 8 petals surmounted with its motto in Sanskrit ‘चरैवेति चरैवेति’ (Section 3, Chapter 3, Aitareya Brahmana) meaning ‘Keep Going’ and supported by its name and place at the bottom in Devanagari. The lotus symbolises purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty and the hands which support the lotus in fact upholds its symbolism.

MANKOLAM Mankolam, the abstract image of mango and the paisley design is shaped like a mango and associated with Lord Ganesha. Mangos are the sweetest of fruits, symbolizing auspiciousness and the happy fulfillment of legitimate worldly desires. In Sanskrit the design is known as mankolam and has long been used in India. In Tamil, ‘ma’ means Mango and kolam means rangoli pattern, suggesting a possible Tamil origin for the Sanskrit word.

EMBLEM OF HARYANA The state of Haryana was split from Punjab state on November 1,1966. The main part of the actual state was ceded to the East India Company in 1803. In 1832 it was added to the Northwest Provinces and in 1858 to Punjab to which it belonged until 1966. In the centre of the state the Principality of Jind was located. The emblem of Haryana shows a sun and a lotus-flower rising from a lake. The title of the emblem is 'Government of Haryana'.
