The insignia of Mody University of Science and Technology (MUST) has a gear wheel houses a circular border which is inscribed with its name and place. Inside the border on the circle there are motifs of a swan and a veena supported by an open book. Below the gear wheel, on a banner its motto in Sanskrit ‘तेजस्विनावधीतमस्तु’ (Dialogue between Nachiketa and Yamacharya, 19, Canto 3, Part 3, Katha Upanishad, Krishna Yajur Veda) meaning ‘May our Study be Vigorous and Effective’. The gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the veena and swan are associated with Goddess Saraswati, the God of Learning and the open book symbolises learning, knowledge, education and wisdom.

The circular emblem of the university has an orange eight toothed gear wheel bearing the university’s name in Meiteilon ensconcing the motifs of a pair of gear wheels, a student with mortarboard hat and a rising sun in the background of Kanglasha - Nongsaba, i.e. half lion and half dragon. EMBLEM OF HARYANA The state of Haryana was split from Punjab state on November 1,1966. The main part of the actual state was ceded to the East India Company in 1803. In 1832 it was added to the Northwest Provinces and in 1858 to Punjab to which it belonged until 1966. In the centre of the state the Principality of Jind was located. The emblem of Haryana shows a sun and a lotus-flower rising from a lake. The title of the emblem is 'Government of Haryana'.
