The gear wheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the bird represents freedom, independence and perspective; the rising sun symbolises life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity and the globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness.

Established under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in 1992, NACO is the nodal organisation for the formulation of policy and implementation of programmes for prevention and control of HIV/ AIDS in India. The logo for NACO is a wordmark consisting of text, typeface, and red cross ribbon wrapped around the letter 'A' in NACO. UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes. The counter of the ‘U’ is filled blue and a stroke of blue and green flows across diagonally from left to right top. This is further cut out by another ‘U’ at the top right corner. The colour blue represents serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour green denotes life, production, fertility, agriculture, environment and nature. The logo is modern, trendy and attractive.
