The emblem of Himgiri Zee University (HZU) has a circle holding the motifs of Mount Himalayas with rising sun in horizon, which is ensconced in a blue circular border which carries the name of the university supported by a pair of stars. On the blue banner at the bottom of the circular seal, its motto in Sanskrit ‘वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्’ (Mantra VI-72, Maha Upanishad) meaning ‘The Whole World is One Family’ is written. The mountains represent geography; the rising sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity and the colour blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
