The emblem of Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University (DBUU) is a monogram of its acronym ‘DBUU’ placed inside a glowing yellowish orange circle. It has eight red colour glow spikes. It is placed above a circle with a red outline. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘सिद्धिर्भवति कर्मजा’ (Shlok 12, Chapter 4, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Success is Born of Action’ is placed above the monogram and the name of its place is placed below. The glowing sun symbolises life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the glowing orangish yellow denotes happiness, energy, vitality, focus, happiness, joy, inspiration and creativity.

In the border at the top 'ಕಾಯಕವೇ ಕೈಲಾಸ' in Kannada  meaning ‘Work is Worship’ and at the bottom ‘JSS Maha Vidyapeetha’ are written. These are further circumscribed by three pairs of two overlapping arrows in orange and blue forming a revolving pattern also forming a hexagon. The emblem denotes constant evolution and growth.
