The orange colour pictorial emblem of Tamil Nadu College of Engineering (TNCE) features hexagon housing the motifs of gopuram of temple referring to the State of Tamilnadu; a ‘vel’ or spear of Lord Murugan denoting divine blessings; and a dial of a gauge; a gearwheel and a theodolite referring to the study of engineering. The hexagon is surmounted by a banner inscribed with its name and supported by a banner inscribed with the name of the place. Hexagon is one of the strongest shapes and structures which nature has conceived. This shape stirs intuition, cooperation, connection sympathy, communion and reciprocal actions.
