The circular seal of Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) features the letter ‘ॐ’ placed in a circle ensconced by a larger circle housing the motifs of structure of DNA, a pair of electrical transmission towers, a pair of gear wheels, a satellite dish antenna, an electronic circuit, an automobile, an anchor and a computer referring to the branches of engineering taught by the college. This assemblage is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college and its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या परा देवता’ meaning ‘Education is the Supreme God’. The letter ‘ॐ’ or ‘Ohm’ or ‘Om’ is a symbol representing a sacred sound, syllable, mantra and an invocation and the Indian red denotes divinity, passion, energy and fire.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.

The traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity and laurels signify victory, accomplishment, honour, recognition, immortality, peace and harmony. A pair of lions signifies courage, confidence and pride and the red cross symbolises a symbol of protection and a sign that help is at hand.
