The emblem of Model Engineering College, Kochi (MEC) features a pair of elephants supporting a computer and a microprocessor crested by a burning torch with diagrams of wave and electronic circuit placed inside a gearwheel and supported by a banner. Below the banner, its tagline ‘Manpower Development’ is written. At the bottom, on a large banner the name of the college is inscribed. The elephants represent the State of Kerala; the torch is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the gearwheel refers to interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; and the other motifs refer to the subject of engineering.
