The gear is circumscribed with the name and place of the college and supported by a banner inscribed with its motto in Tamil ‘உண்மை உழைப்பு உயர்வு’ meaning ‘Truth Labour Growth’. The gearwheel and the motifs represent the different branches of engineering.
