The emblem of Bharathidasan Engineering College (BEC) features a gearwheel housing the motifs of a satellite, a computer, a structure of an atom and an electrical transmission tower. The gear is circumscribed with the name and place of the college and supported by a banner inscribed with its motto in Tamil ‘உண்மை உழைப்பு உயர்வு’ meaning ‘Truth Labour Growth’. The gearwheel and the motifs represent the different branches of engineering.
