The gearwheel shaped emblem of A.V.C College of Engineering (AVCCE) features the motifs of a dancing peacock supporting a gopuram of Sri Nallanayaki Amman Temple crested by a lotus supporting a portrait of poet Bharathidasan with a pair of elephants, a crest of paddy and an electric transmission tower on sides. This assemblage is surmounted by a banner inscribed with the initials of the college ‘AVCCE’ and supported by a banner inscribed with the motto in Tamil ‘நுண்பொருள் காண்பது அறிவு’ meaning ‘Seeing the Subtle is Knowledge’. The gearwheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; lotus refers to purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the gopuram denotes divine blessings, guidance and benevolence; the elephants refer to signify power, strength, unity and wisdom; the peacock refers to beauty, grace and vitality; the other motifs refer to the branches of engineering.
