The blue and orange circular emblem of K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology (KSRCT) features a building with a pyramidal tower housing the motifs of laboratory tools, three gear wheels, a rocket and a computer; ensconced by a circular border inscribed with its name and place. On an orange banner placed below the seal the motto of the college ‘Know Serve Rise’ is inscribed. The building refers to the institution and the motifs refer to the different branches of engineering taught in the college. The colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty; and the orange signifies energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

The central motifs of the winged Staff of Caduceus entwined by a pair of serpents crested with a flaming torch, supported by an open book and a pair of laurels replace the Lion Capital; and the name, place and motto of the college replace the name of the State. The motto of the college in Sanskrit is ‘विद्यया विन्दते अमृतम्’ (Mantra 2.4, Kenopanishad), which translates to ‘Immortality Through Knowledge’. The Staff of Caduceus symbolises medicine and medical profession; the book symbolises the accumulation and dissemination of medical knowledge and the academic foundation of the institution; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the laurels are symbols, which represent victory, honour and academic excellence.
