The word ‘ప్రగతి’ meaning ‘Progress’ is written above the book. Its motto in Telugu ‘విద్యా పరా దేవతా’ meaning ‘Knowledge is the Supreme Deity’ is placed below the seal. The lotus refers to purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the swan is sacred and is a symbol of grace and beauty; the open book refers to education, learning, knowledge and wisdom; the vena refers to culture, aesthetics and sensitivity; and the star refers to perfect harmony among all things in life, with its points providing insight into how we can strive towards achieving this goal.
