Its motto in Tamil ‘அறிவே ஆக்கம்’ meaning ‘Knowledge is Creation’ is placed below the gearwheel and its year of establishment is placed at the bottom. The gearwheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the map refers to the college's pan Indian approach; and the computer and satellite refers to the domains of engineering studies.
