KALAKSHETRA FOUNDATION
Kalakshetra literally means a holy place of arts (Kala: Arts, Kshetra: Field or Holy place). Deriving inspiration from this noble ideal, Kalakshetra Foundation was established. Kalakshetra Foundation as it is known today was recognised by the Government of India as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament in 1993 and is now an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Its logotype in yellow ochre colour ‘kalakshetra’ is written in calligraphic style in lower case and over lapping this at its bottom ‘Foundation’ is written in brown colour.
