GMR GROUP

In 1978, when G M Rao started off with a small jute mill and established, over three decades later, what is known today as GMR Group. GMR today is a major player in the infrastructure sector, with world class projects in India and abroad. GMR Group is headquartered in New Delhi and has been developing projects in high growth areas such as airports, energy, transportation and urban infrastructure. Its logo in the form of a monogram features ‘GMR’ written with bold sans serif letters with sharp trimmings and precise ends in blue, red and orange colours. The ‘M’ is made up of two vertical pointers, simulating infrastructure and construction placed above ‘G’ and ‘R’. The colours used are prominent and they show strength and dynamism of the group in its chosen field of business.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes. The counter of the ‘U’ is filled blue and a stroke of blue and green flows across diagonally from left to right top. This is further cut out by another ‘U’ at the top right corner. The colour blue represents serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour green denotes life, production, fertility, agriculture, environment and nature.
